Safety and hygiene in the food sector have had a development since the application of strict protocols and the use of technology in the food chain. Roser Group has been a direct witness and protagonist of this development from day one. Nowadays, it is still one of the experts in the manufacture of hygiene stations for the industry.
The meat sector experienced a real revolution with the arrival of industrialisation in the sector. It was a progressive and constant development, which led to an advance in food safety and quality procedures. This allowed for an enormous growth in the safe handling of products destined for human consumption. Since the first steps were taken in the application of technological devices in the meat sector, Roser Group was decisive in its involvement in the implementation of large-scale hygienic measures.
In 1996, Roser Group was the first manufacturer of a food safety device in the meat sector integrated into a single unit. A firm commitment to investment in technology and know-how derived from the knowledge of the best professionals. For the first time, it was possible to enjoy a piece of equipment that made us forget the previous practices and equipment. These were divided into a washbasin, a soap dish and a basin that allowed the boots to be disinfected, in the best of cases.
Thanks to the innovation achieved by a company that had already been a pioneer since its foundation, operators in the meat sector began to work more efficiently, dynamically and safely thanks to equipment that offered a continuous flow.
During the 80s of the 20th century, the first stable and compulsory hygiene and industrial regulations in the sector began to emerge. Roser Group was the key element in ensuring that companies had the equipment to obey these regulations. In addition, it encouraged the best hygiene practices, as operators accomplished, thanks to the hygiene station, with all the indicated and mandatory procedures
The 1990s were a turning point for the food handling industry. This was due to the advances in sanitary safety brought about by Roser Group. The company introduced the first automated models that increased the speed of operator access. At the same time, they no longer required contact with certain surfaces, thus minimizing risks.
Hand hygiene by means of automatic devices that wet hands, apply soap, remove water or disinfect hands became a new standard in the food industry and a decisive factor in preventing micro-organisms in food and cross-contamination, as well as passing the most stringent audits by local and export customers. Roser Group was once again a pioneer in the development of solutions applied to the industry and consolidated its position as one of the experts in the manufacture of hygiene stations.
The current development of the hygiene station is very high. This is why, at the moment, the trend is towards a considerable diversification and computerisation of the equipment manufactured. All this, depending on the different needs that the industry may present.
A good example of this is the HCS or Hygiene Control System, which allows strict control of hygiene procedures by means of RFID chips assigned to each operator, the same chips that can be found in our mobile devices for making contactless payments. This system allows an unprecedented traceability of personnel hygiene, knowing their location within each area of the plant, the chance of applying passage restrictions to avoid cross-contamination and ensuring through a control center that all our sanitary customs are in perfect working order, all this data being exportable to the company’s ERP for total integration, facilitating data analysis.
